Minor update to the Hekkus Sound System, I have decrease the delay when you play a sound effect on Symbian 9.x phones. A lot have complained about it, so, go and download this new version .
If you are a donor remember that you can always request the latest source code, just email me.

First Hekkus Sound System stable version that officially support Symbian 9.x phones, the new sound interface works quite well, so download it and please let me know
how it works on your games .

- New sound interface, written by me and tested on my n73, now it uses a thread for sound update, should be a lot more stable.
- Added support for loading data from Private dir
- Added dll and static lib support (static lib only available to donors)

 | Hekkus Sound System 0.99.6 beta1 released! |
Things rolls quite slow but I'm still alive and, enjoy people, there is a new Hekkus version in town! 
Well, this time Hekkus explore new platforms, and found new home on the GP2X, the PSP and the new Symbian 9.x phones from Nokia and Sony Ericsson! .
Changes in this version:
* (Symbian_v9)
- Symbian v9 (n73, n80, n93, e60, etc.) support added! (thanks to Elements Interactive for help on the sound implementation for those devices www.edgelib.com)

Another minor version of the Hekkus Sound System is out!
This time just a little fix and some minor changes, download it without fear .
Changes in this version:

- Increased max music module playable from 3 to 64
- Increased max sound playable from 64 to 128 (the library use the same memory as before, don't worry :)
- Fixed minor bug on module's effect "slide to note"

 | About the Hekkus' license |
Dear Hekkus' users,
on the last five months I haven't received a single notification mail for your new (and I bet really wonderful) game, but I have seen more than one game that uses Hekkus recently published. Please remember the Hekkus' license, it is very simple, you must send me a mail for every product that you release if you use Hekkus in it, and if your game is a commercial one you should consider to make a small donation. Even the already payed users, I usually send always to all the latest source, I do it because I like to share the improvements to the one that have donate something, but if you have released more than one commercial game think about another donation 
I released the library with this permissive license, and I really like it, if you like it too please follow the simple terms

 | Hekkus Sound System 0.99.4d released! |
Nokia, nokia, nokia, every time they release a new phone they broke something, and every time I try to come up with a solution that work on their newer devices then it won't work on the older ones... But this time should be different, I hope that this new fix put an end to the infamous 'hang on incoming calls' bug, and on all their lovely devices! .
Download the new version here and please test it on your devices and let me know if it work, by now people have reported it to work on 7650, 7610, 6680 nokia devices.

 | Hekkus Sound System 0.99.4c released! |

13/05/2005: version 0.99.4c released, again little fix for old series 60 phones, thanks to James for his tests! More on this forum's thread.
10/05/2005: version 0.99.4b released, this new version fixed some problems on old series 60 phones.
The latest Hekkus stable version is ready to download. This is mainly a maintanance release with some bugfixes for all the platforms supported. Symbian users should download and try this new release because I have fixed some annoying bugs like the hang on incoming calls and sms .

- fixed hang on incoming calls or text messages (sms)
* (.NET)
- Updated .NET wrapper, now it works on SmartDevice as well.

 | Hekkus Sound System tutorial. |
Great news people, Ian Ferguson from SundialSoft have just published a new chapter in his beginners' guide to PocketFrog. This time he show you how to integrate Hekkus to this great library. The tutorial show also the basic operation to setup Hekkus and the Embedded VisualC++ so it is a must for all the beginners out there even if you don't want to use PocketFrog for your projects.

 | Two new Hekkus Sound System version! |
Ok, this time we have not one, not three but two new Hekkus release (unbelievable )!
Ok, serius, the first is the new stable release that comes with a few little fixes, the other is the first version with the long awaited OGG Vorbis compressed files support!
Now you can play OGG Vorbis files on your WinCE or Symbian game! Before you get crazy and start to jump through your window I must say that it is a bit slow, but you can decompress the file when you load it so at least you can use it to save same archive space ... Just try it and let me know how it works with your game.
Changes in this version (0.99.2 stable version):
* (ALL)
- Added function to set the internal mixing buffer length at run time
* (Windows)
- Little tweak for older/bad win9x sound driver to prevent stuttering sound even on old machines.
* (.NET)
- Fixed some little bugs on the hssMusic and hssSound wrapper.
What's new in the other version (0.99.5 beta1):
* (ALL)
- Added support for OGG Vorbis compressed files!
* (Symbian)
- Wins problems, OGG Vorbis support have broken Wins compatibility!
